专家简介：
Dr. Yubao Liu is a project scientist and an senior mesoscale weather modeler with the National Center for Atmospheric Research, Boulder, Colorado.He received a doctorate degree in atmospheric science from Beijing University,Beijing, China, and a graduate diploma in computer science from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada. Dr. Liu has 25 year work experience in mesoscale and small scale weather modeling. His special research interests are in data assimilation, atmospheric physics and planetary boundary layer meteorology, and weather circulations over complex terrain, urban heat island, and heterogeneous land-surface properties.He has been a lead modeler for the development and deployment of the NCAR multi-scale real-time four-dimensional data assimilation and forecasting (RTFDDA) system and its extension version of climate four-dimensional data assimilation (CFDDA) system that aims at producing high-resolution gridded climate for a region of special interest. Dr. Liu has published 30 papers on referred weather journals and presented his research on numerous national and international scientific conferences. Dr. Liu is a member of the American Meteorological Society.
